Our parish music ministry works brings vitality to our sung worship through a wide variety of beauty in our liturgical music.  One great aspect of the Cathedral music ministry is the community built among the various musicians and singers, bringing about a depth of faith and spirituality and commitment to prayer and good works.

The Liturgical Music Office is located on the lower level of the Cathedral behind Marian Hall.   Here is a listing of various music ministries at the Cathedral.  If you are interested in serving in the Cathedral music ministry in any way, call the Office at 725-2707.

Cathedral Choir
The Cathedral Choir serves the Cathedral from September through May, or as far as the feast of Pentecost, whichever comes last.  Choir members rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm and regularly serve at the 10 AM Sunday Mass.

Cathedral Cantors
Cantors serve to lead the assembly in sung worship.  All Cantors take training offered through the diocesan Institute for Liturgy and Spirituality in conjunction with the Midsouth NPM chapter.

Guest Musicians
For various occasions, such as particularly solemn feasts, the Cathedral invites additional musicians to play, such as brass or string quartets, as well as individual instrumentalists.  You never know when you might hear the enhancing music of an oboe, trumpet, or violin at a Cathedral liturgy.

Concerts
Concerts are occassionally held in the Cathedral.  The Cathedral has hosted numerous professional and semi-professional ensembles for concerts. If your orchestra or choir is interested in presenting a concert in the Cathedral, please contact the Music Office at (901) 725-2707.

Our Adult Choir sings at Sunday 10am Mass and Holy Day liturgies. Cantors lead congregational music and responses at all liturgies. Ability to read music is not required. If interested, email Music Director Dr. Kelly Kramer or call (901) 725-2707.
