Ecumenical Prayer Service

An Ecumenical Prayer Service will be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, July 24th at 7:00 p.m.   All are welcome!

It will be prayer on behalf of our city at this time of fiscal crisis and for a just resolution of the dispute with fire and police personnel, other city workers, and retirees. They have been invited, as well as elected city officials, to join in this prayer service.

This prayer service will be patterned after the one at which Pope Francis presided on Pentecost Sunday, this past June 8th, for peace within the Holy Land. Pope Francis invited Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and they came to join with him in prayer.
