Annual Blessing of the Pets
Our Annual Blessing of the Pets was celebrated on Sunday, October 6th,
two days after the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Approximately 150
pets and their owners were in attendance for a prayer service on the
church grounds. After the prayer service, Fr. Val, Fr. Rober, Dcn.
Frank and Dcn. Bill blessed each animal and gave each of them a prayer
card and St. Francis medal. Among the pets were many dog breeds as well
as a few snakes and chinchillas.
